Craniosacral
Craniosacral therapy is a hands-on therapy with gentle, sustained contact through the client’s clothing. Cranialsacral work offers a way of being held that encourages feelings of safety and comfort so that stress can become more manageable. As this occurs the body can better regulate digestion, sleep and muscular tension as well as psychological and emotional wellbeing.
People come to craniosacral therapy to support their wellbeing and recovery from stressful and painful experiences. Our therapist has experience in working with clients suffering from anxiety, post-traumatic stress, panic attacks, post surgery/dental care – particularly following anaesthesia – and in supporting symptoms and side affects for those with long term illnesses.
Massage Therapy
We a combination of deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy and joint mobilisation techniques that aim to encourage relaxation of muscular tension. This approach is complimentary to Pilates as it works on areas that are difficult to reach by movement alone. Massage helps the body to feel more mobile and ‘loosened up’ so there is more freedom and confidence to move.
People usually come for clinical massage to relieve discomfort and tightness in their neck, back and shoulders. Their symptoms often build up over time due to stress, over exercise or sustained postures such as working at a desk, driving or gardening.
